DESCRIPTION : CP 710
APPLICATIONS : An excellent all round electrode for high abrasion resistance when combined with impact, deposits resistant to oxidation and corrosion at elevated temperatures. Applications include : Augers screw, paddles , wear pads, digger teeth, tractor pad scrapers, leveler blades and conveyors.
CHARACTERISTICS :

· Superior abrasion resistance accompanied by impact
· High hardness at elevated temperature
· Rare minimum ripple surface doubles “ grip resistance” to fine abrasive media
WELDING TECHNIQUES : Remove damaged metal and clean metal surfaces. A slight preheat is recommended for alloy steels and cast iron. Maintain a medium arc, used a stringer or wide weave technique. Deposit a maximum of 2 to 3 passes to achieve full hardness. Remove slag.
MICROSTRUCTURE : Austenite alloy matrix (bulk hardness RC 57) and chromium/complex carbides (hardness RA 77)
