DURAMETAL"N 502"for hight tensile/elongation balance to thermal cycling

DESCRIPTION : N 502

APPLICATIONS : For dissimilar weld on nickel base alloys to themselves, to alloyed steels or to stainless steels. Application for operations and / or industries include : Nuclear equipment. Thermal shock-cryogenic equipment, refrigeration, heat treating equipment. Impact resistance – injection molds, forging tools and dies. Gas liquification equipment. Chemical processing equipment. Furnace equipment

MICROSTRUCTURE : In the as welded condition this nickel base weld metal consist of austenite with a few carbides.

CHARACTERISTICS Excellent coefficient of expansion and contraction properties. Superior deposition rate and out of position weld. Due to its excellent elongation properties( 45%) combined together with its high tensile strength ( 106, 000 PSI), there is a dramatic improvement in the ability of the alloy to withstand high stress in service. N502 is 100% non-responsive to heat treatment. It is highly recommended for many applications involving low temperature and high temperature service- especially where these temperature change drastically in short intervals of time. Extremely easy slag removal and performs unusually well on AC current.

WELDING TECHNIQUES : Weld at minimum amperage to maintain low heat input

PRODUCT TYPE : ALL POSITIONAL ACID RESISTANT STAINLESS STEEL ELECTRODE

DESCRIPTION : S 635

APPLICATIONS : For molybdenum bearing stainless steels with 1.5 to 3.0% Mo. A high quality alloy used primarily for resistance to pitting, many acids and general corrosion.

MICROSTRUCTURE : Austenite with 3-9% ferrite. Typical ferrite number is 6

CHARACTERISTICS: High tensile, high elongation with excellent welding characteristics for grades 316, 316L and other acid resistant grades. Excellent all position capabilities. Extra low carbon content to resist pitting. Also suitable for titanium and niobium stabilized versions of 316L stainless.

WELDING TECHNIQUES : Material to be welded should be clean of all contaminants. Maintain a short arc and use stringer beads rather than a weave technique

PRODUCT TYPE : AN EXCELLENT QUALITY HIGH HEAT RESISTANT STAINLESS STEEL ELECTRODE

DESCRIPTION : S 636

APPLICATIONS : Special electrode for welding highly heat resistant Cr-Ni steels with approximately 25% Cr and 20% Ni. Ideal for joining unknown grades of stainless to themselves and to carbon steels.

MICROSTRUCTURE : Fully austenitic with a ferrite number of 0

CHARACTERISTICS High alloy content allows use in high temperature applications for scale resistance. Extra lowspatter emission minimizes clean up. Weldable in all positions, except vertical down, heat resistant 1100ÂșC.

WELDING TECHNIQUES : Material to be welded should be clean of all contaminants. Maintain a short arc and use stringer beads rather than a weave technique

PRODUCT TYPE : ALL POSITION ELECTRODE FOR STAINLESS STEEL

DESCRIPTION : S 628L

APPLICATIONS : A 18 / 8 Cr / Ni alloy with extra low carbon content ( C<0.03% ). For grades 304L, 301, 302, 303, 308, 321, 347 and corresponding E.I.C.grades. Use on typical brewery, food and pharmaceutical equipment, also for architectural fabrication.

MICROSTRUCTURE : Austenite with 3-9% ferrite. Typical ferrite number is 6

CHARACTERISTICS : The high quality coating allows the electrode to run at very low amperages to avoid distortion but still give strong clean spatter – free welds. Controlled silicon content provides maximum corrosion/cracking resistance.


WELDING TECHNIQUES : Material to be welded should be clean of all contaminants. Maintain a short arc and use stringer beads rather than a weave technique.
